Caswell, Edgar Stearns (1854-1925)

Edgar Stearns Caswell (1854 - 8 Dec 1925) had stone cutting shop on Greenleaf Street and also worked at the Town Hall. He worked on granite and marble from 1877-1924. Mr. Caswell was a printer, stonecarver and artist. Around the turn of the century it was said that he had a canvas stage curtain, painted by him, in use in almost every town in Cumberland County.
